This was my first time to Terminal 5 and it's a great place to see any band. I don't know why but I thought it was much bigger (as in too big) and much shabbier -- maybe because most of the concerts I've seen have been at venues with cracks in floorboards and sticky walls? Last Saturday was a great day to walk The Highline too, something I've been wanting to do for a long time... recommend that as well! Here's my write-up of the concert:
We were right near this camera, just a bit closer. Sound isn't great though.
Here's one from a balcony -- was fun to explore the three levels of Terminal 5 but opted to go back where we started from right at ground level!

While a meet up was not possible (they were busy getting ready to go on tour) a 'phoner' was coordinated at 5:35 pm on a Friday. They have a new CDs of covers out called Crushes (The Mixtape) which was sent to me through an emailed link with a download code -- making me miss liner notes on an physical CD even more! After being patched through the pr office to Jason Hammel of the band, I quickly adjusted my questions to the male half of the group and here's what transpired. Tour dates and video with the interview on PopMatters.com as well. Check it out here.

The interview before the show was all very Rock 'N Roll, taking place in the basement of the Mercury Lounge with another band thumping the ceiling from upstairs and a rodent scurrying around -- the publicist quickly switched seats across the room but I didn't know why. (If it was me there'd be a huge SHRIEK on the audio!) Here's the outcome and do check out their tunes at the links provided.
AWESOME concert moments thanks to YouTube:
